Help with CutKit for iPhone

Most problems are one of the fixes below. If yours isn't, email hello@getcutkit.com and a person will answer. CutKit needs an iPhone on iOS 27 or later.

Getting scripts in

Paste text straight into a new script in the app, or copy a note and tap Paste script from clipboard.
From Apple Notes, build a shortcut with Find Notes and CutKit's Import Script action. The Import scripts screen in the app walks you through it. Run it again and scripts you already imported update, with no second copy.
From your Mac or from Claude, push with the cueprompt tool. It drops a file into a Cueprompt folder in iCloud Drive. Pick that folder once on the Import scripts screen, and new scripts appear next time you open CutKit.

If a note has a CLEAN READ line, CutKit reads only what sits between it and the next line of dashes.

Permissions

CutKit needs the camera to record, the microphone to hear you, and speech recognition to follow your voice. Photos access lets it save the finished take. If you said no by accident, open Settings, tap CutKit and switch them on.

Common fixes

The script doesn't follow my voice

Read the words as they're written, at a normal pace. Check that microphone and speech recognition are both on for CutKit in Settings. The first time, iPhone may download its speech model, so give it a minute on Wi-Fi. If it still loses you, take out extra formatting or notes from the script so it's only the words you'll say.

Saving to Photos failed

Allow adding photos to CutKit in Settings, then check your iPhone has free storage. A 4K HDR take is large. Then save the take again from the review screen.

Restore my purchase

On the recording screen, open the settings sheet and tap CutKit Pro, then tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. You'll also find Restore Purchases under About CutKit in the same sheet. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Nothing to restore? Email us with your Apple receipt and we'll look.
