The screen is captured at the display's own pixel size. Your face is a separate track, recorded on your phone at 4K, because a Continuity Camera feed caps at 1080p.

2. Transcribe
Speech recognition runs on your own machine. The audio does not leave it, and neither does the recording.
3. Cut
Filler words, retakes and dead air go automatically. Then you read the transcript and strike anything else. Each edit changes what gets rendered.
4. Render
Out comes a graded, loudness normalised master with the two cameras in step, or an FCPXML if you want to finish elsewhere.
Why the transcript is the edit
A screen recording is mostly talking, and the mistakes are mostly things you said. Finding them on a waveform means scrubbing. Finding them in a transcript means reading.
The two cameras cannot drift
Both tracks of a cut are driven by one window, so there is no pair of clips to nudge back into sync.
It refuses a bad cut
If the rules would remove every word, or keep less of what you actually said than a floor it holds to, it stops rather than handing you a ruined master.
Nothing is uploaded
Recording, transcription and rendering all happen on your Mac. The only thing that reaches the network is checking your licence.
