TikTok's own teleprompter, and where it stops
TikTok has a built-in teleprompter and it's free. From what I could find, it scrolls your text on screen with settings for the speed. I read secondary sources for that, not TikTok's own help page, so check the exact controls in the app.
For one short clip, use it. It's already in the camera you'll post from. The limits show up when you want more: a script that waits for you, a cut that removes your retakes, or the same footage in higher quality for another platform.
Recording outside TikTok
Post to TikTok, Reels and Shorts from one take and you'll want the file in Photos. Recording in an outside app gives you the iPhone's native video, then you upload it. TikTok will recompress it on upload like every platform does, so the quality gain shows up mostly if you keep the clip as a master or post it to YouTube too.
